Lauren and Quinten came to me early in 2018 with an idea to create a new luxury kids home and accessories brand. The next 3 years would see us work tirelessly together to create a lifestyle brand called Heidi Rose that you can now see here.
The world of Heidi Rose was created to celebrate play, discovery and imagination. It is a sustainable collection of kids play accessories and décor made to be used, repurposed and personalised with playful fabric patches that can be changed around depending on a special milestone or mood.
We started the product range by initially setting out a design strategy, highlighting key colours, materials and patterns that would all tie together to create a cohesive range. I then designed the products and created the technical specifications so they could be developed by a factory in India.
As Heidi Rose was a premium kids brand, it was also important to make sure the packaging was high quality, giftable, and more importantly, reusable.
When working through the design strategy phase we looked at all the elements that will make up the Heidi Rose range.
I then created some initial concepts which brought Lauren and Quinten's ideas to life.
Once designs were approved, I then created spec sheets which were sent to the factory in order to make the first samples.
Samples were developed in order to meet Heidi Rose's high standards (as well as passing the rigorous testing and honest opinions from the children). Images by Jess Morgan Photography
